Strategies to position and enhance economic growth within the tourism sector were recently addressed at the Tourism Indaba which was held in Durban.

A panel of city officials, tourism personnel and business leaders looked at how the city performed against he macro economic landscape of South Africa’s economic performance, and how it plans to attain inclusive economic growth for all participants in the tourism sector.

Panellists: Phillip Sithole, Acting Deputy City Manager for Economic Development, Ethekwini Municipality & Head of Durban Tourism; Mmatsatsi Ramawela, CEO of the Tourism Business Council of South Africa; Marcel von Aulock, the Tsogo Sun; Dumile Cele, CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
