Emergency water schemes are soon to be rolled out in the Western Cape after the drought-stricken province was declared a disaster area in May. Residents have been urged to reduce their daily consumption to below 100 litres a day while the city drills into the Table Mountain Group Aquifers and small-scale desalination package plants.
